My Background & Experience

I promise not to judge you nor challenge your right to feel whatever you feel. Your reality is your reality. My job and role is to help each of you find peace in your negotiated settlement and to be able to move forward with your lives as peacefully as possible.

My Education

In 1991, I graduated from the New York University's Stern school of Business with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. I then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, and graduated in 1994 with a Juris Doctor Degree. In 2018, I earned a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I firmly believe that continuing to learn and grow is very important to my professional development and my growth as a person. By combining my formal education with my years of professional experience, I effectively help my clients navigate the divorce experience in a manner that keeps their dignity, respect and sanity.

My Professional Experience

I began my professional career in New York employed as an attorney by several litigation firms. After spending several years honing my skills, I founded my own firm 1996. In 2003, I left that partnership and opened my own practice and had offices in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island. As an attorney in New York, I concentrated on all aspects of civil litigation. I conducted and defended hundreds of depositions, engaged in trial and appellate work, and represented hundreds of clients. Between 2007-2008, I was an Arbitrator for the Civil Court of the City of New York, County of Queens.

Following almost fifteen years of private practice in New York, I relocated to Florida and studied for and passed the Florida Bar in 2010. Since that time, I dedicate my focus on helping couples amicable, respectfully and peacefully mediating their divorce to obtain a PeacefulSplit®.

My Personal Background

I am the proud father of two children (a boy and a girl). My daughter has significant "special-needs." Through the process of raising and caring for my daughter and dealing with typical parenting challenges and many extraordinary experiences, I came to realize that families and parents all have unique challenges and emotionally-trying times in their lives - often without compassionate and sensitive professionals to lend assistance when needed. As a result, decided to rededicate myself and my professional career to help people deal with difficult, stressful and emotional challenges, especially divorce and its impact on not only the spouses but on the family as a whole.

I grew-up in New York before moving to Florida in 2008. Despite being out of law-school for about 15 years at that point, I committed myself to studying and passing the Florida Bar Exam - which I did in 2010. Since then, I became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
